Adjustment of speed of the accelerated idling of the Pierburg carburetor

The arrow showed a bolt of adjustment of the accelerated idling.

Adjustment of idling of the Pierburg carburetor

And – the screw of adjustment of speed,

In – the screw of adjustment of composition of mix

The engine 1,8 of dm3 of the REB type is equipped with the two-chamber Pierburg 85 HF 9510 AB carburetor of independent management of butterfly valves of both cameras, with the automatic starting arrangement and the accelerating pump.

Adjustment of a priotkryvaniye of the starting air gate

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To hold a butterfly valve of mix in partially open situation and to turn a cam of the accelerated idling so that the bolt of adjustment of speed of the accelerated idling concerned the maximum level of a step disk.
2. By means of the probe or a drill with a diameter of 3 mm to measure gap width between an edge of the starting air gate and a wall of the camera of the carburetor (see rice. Measurement of a priotkryvaniye of the air gate of the Pierburg carburetor).
3. In case of need to adjust the necessary size of a gap by means of an adjusting bolt (a key for internal hexagons of 2 mm).

Adjustment of speed of the accelerated idling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To bring the engine to normal working temperature.
2. To check and in case of need to adjust the speed of idling and maintenance WITH.
3. To kill the engine.
4. To remove the air filter.
5. To start the engine and to leave it idling.
6. To check whether adjusting signs on a cover of the starting arrangement and on the carburetor case are located against each other.
7. To establish the end of a bolt of adjustment of speed of the accelerated idling on the minimum level of a step disk, moving for this purpose the lever of a butterfly valve (in the direction of increase in opening), to respectively turn a step disk and to release the lever of a butterfly valve.
8. To check the speed of the accelerated idling.
9. In case of need to correct it by means of a bolt of adjustment of speed of the accelerated idling (see rice. Adjustment of speed of the accelerated idling of the Pierburg carburetor).

Idling adjustment

This adjustment is carried out on the engine which is warmed up up to the normal working temperature and the switched-off consumers of current.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before adjustment it is necessary to check tightness of vacuum pipelines.
2. To connect a tachometer, to check and in case of need to adjust idling speed, turning the screw (see rice. Adjustment of idling of the Pierburg carburetor).
3. To connect the analyzer of exhaust gases.
4. To bring engine speed to 3000 rpm and to hold it within about 30 seconds.
5. To release an accelerator pedal. Speed has to be determined at the previous level. Contents WITH originally will increase and 5–25 seconds later has to be stabilized.
6. 30 seconds later after installation of speed to determine content WITH.
7. In case of need to adjust contents WITH in exhaust gases by means of the screw (V) of composition of mix of idling.
