3.1.3.2. Head of the block of cylinders

GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrangement of consolidations and intensifying plates of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders with a width of a surface of a prileganiye of laying of 5,5 mm

Identification of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders

And – Torx T55 bolt,

In – a bolt with an internal dodecagonal asterisk

Since September, 1983 (a code of date of production "DJ") all engines are equipped with a head of the block of cylinders with raised (from 5,5 mm to 8 mm) width of a surface of a prileganiye of laying of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.

Since April, 1984 bolts of fastening of a head of the block of Torx T55 cylinders with a head with an internal hexagonal asterisk are used. The order of their tightening did not change.

In case of an oil effluence from under a cover of a head of the block of cylinders in the car manufactured till September, 1983 with a surface under laying 5,5 mm wide it is necessary to arrive as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To uncover a head of the block of cylinders and to level the damaged or deformed head cover support surface.
2. To establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders together with laying of new type and six additional consolidations.
3. To replace angular plates (Grower type) with four strengthened plates.

If the laying prileganiye surface in a cover of a head of the block of cylinders cannot be brought to the normal state, then it is necessary to arrive as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish the following elements of new type: cover of a head of the block of cylinders and laying, and also casing of a gear belt.
2. To replace angular plates (Grower type) with four strengthened plates and to establish six additional consolidations.

If replacement of laying of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders in the car manufactured after September, 1983 is necessary, then it is necessary to arrive as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish the strengthened plates.
2. To tighten bolts of fastening of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders the moment of 5-8 Nanometers.

1st stage
35 – 40 Nanometers
2nd stage
70 – 75 Nanometers
The 3rd stage (5 minutes later)
to tighten on 90

Prevention

Bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders with a nest like Torx T55 are bolts of one-time application. For fastening of a head of the block of cylinders every time it is necessary to use surely new bolts with a nest like Torx. Bolts with a nest like Torx cannot be tightened on the warm engine.
