Repair and operation of the car

This section concerns changes of the Ford Sierra cars entered into designs with four-cylinder petrol engines from model 1990 till February, 1993.

Model 1990

In September, 1989 the new version of equipment with the name Laser in which are added to equipment of the version of GL is entered: high beam headlamps, decorative caps of wheels like GT, tinted windows, a black frame of side glasses and a tachometer on a combination of devices.
In February, 1990 appearance of the car was subjected to some modifications. In a forward part of a body of all cars the open opening of air supply to a radiator and white lamps of forward indexes of turns is entered; also decorative caps of wheels of new type are entered. Behind in cars with a body of Berlin and the sedan the black strip connecting the new darkened back lamps is entered.

Besides for all Ford Sierra cars:

 – are excluded from the offer of the version of GT and S;
 – the version of equipment of GLS and CLX is entered;
 – production of a body of a three-door compartment is stopped.

Model 1991

Essential changes it is not entered.

Model 1992

In July, 1991 the version of equipment CL is excluded from the offer of a body of a komba. In all models are entered: small changes of the forward panel, the hydraulic booster of system of steering (except for the version CL), electric elevators of forward side glasses, adjustment of height of driver's sitting, bumpers of color of a body in versions of equipment of GL and Ghia and partially also in versions CL and CLX. The chromeplated slips on bumpers, side decorative slips, the hatch on a roof opened manually, head restraints on back seats and the central lock are also added to equipment of the version of GL. Electric elevators of side glasses of back doors are entered into Ghia versions. Since then this equipment is also offered for cars with a komba body.

Since January, 1992 the version of GT is equipped with the bumpers painted color of a body, a spoiler and rear-view mirrors; for the versions equipped with engines with fuel injection the disks of wheels made of light alloy are entered.

Model 1993

At the end of January, 1993 sale of all versions of the Ford Sierra cars is stopped.
