Installation of system of gas distribution

Cam-shaft groove arrangement at installation of a head of the block of cylinders


Before installation of a head it is necessary to be convinced that the groove on the end of the clown of a cam-shaft is established horizontally (parallel to the lower plane of a head of the block of cylinders), and a part of the clown, big on height, is directed up.

Prevention

Surfaces of a prileganiye of laying of the block of cylinders and head have to be smooth, pure, without scratches and damages. To check a condition of the lower surface of a head of the block of cylinders, this surface is not under repair (does not pereshlifovyvatsya).


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To measure a vystupaniye of pistons over the top plane of the block of cylinders.
2. Depending on a vystupaniye of pistons to pick up the corresponding thickness of laying of a head (see subsection 3.2.1.2.2).
3. To establish on the block of cylinders laying of a head so that the party with the inscription "TOP" was from above.
4. To install a head on the block of cylinders.
5. To insert fastening bolts into the corresponding openings of a head of the block of cylinders.

Prevention

At installation of a head of the block of cylinders it is necessary to use new bolts of fastening.


6. To tighten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders the corresponding moment (see subsection 3.2.1.2.9) in the corresponding sequence (see rice. Sequence of tightening of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders).
7. In later versions of the engine 1,8 of dm3 are used other type of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders which have a carving of M12 and a head like Torx T70. These bolts should be tightened in the same sequence, as bolts of old type (see rice. Sequence of tightening of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders) next moments:
      – 1 stage: 10 Nanometers;
      – 2nd stage: 100 Nanometers;
      – 3rd stage: to unscrew a bolt "1" on 180 °;
      – 4th stage: to tighten a bolt "1" moment of 70 Nanometers;
      – 5th stage: to tighten a bolt "1" in addition on 120 °.
      – 6th stage: to tighten in the above described way (stages 3-5) other bolts, observing the correct sequence of tightening.
8. To screw up in a head of the block of cylinders of a glow plug, tightening them the corresponding moment and to connect their electric wires.
9. To screw up in a head of the block of cylinders of a nozzle together with new washers of the thermal isolation, the convex party directed to a head.
10. To establish a back right casing of the drive of system of gas distribution with a roller of the tension device.
11. To establish a back left casing together with an average pulley. To check whether there is a rubber ring of the elastic pipeline in the place provided for it on a casing.
12. To establish a pulley of a cam-shaft and to insert the device (1) (see rice. Installation of system of gas distribution).
13. To check whether the bent shaft of the engine of a mandrel (3) in the provision of VMT of the piston of the 1st cylinder concerns.
14. To establish a new gear belt of the drive of system of gas distribution.
15. To pull a gear belt of the drive of system of gas distribution as follows. To weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley to a cam-shaft, then to unscrew a bolt of a roller of the tension device on a turn floor. The roller of the tension device under the influence of a spring will move to a gear belt of the drive of system of gas distribution, and then tighten all above-named bolts.
16. To take all adjusting devices.
17. To turn a bent shaft on two whole revolutions in the direction of its working rotation and to establish it in situation in which the cut of a pulley of the fuel pump is in a 12 hours position.
18. To turn a bent shaft in the opposite direction and to establish a cut of a pulley of the fuel pump in a 11 hours position.
19. In a control opening of the block of cylinders to screw up a mandrel for installation of the piston 1. the cylinder in VMT and carefully to rotate a bent shaft of the engine (in the direction of its working rotation) against the stop in an adjusting mandrel.
20. To insert the adjusting device of a pulley of a cam-shaft in the opening provided for it (see rice. Installation of system of gas distribution).
21. To unscrew bolts of fastening of an average pulley and a roller of the tension device on one turn; then to push away a piece of a gear belt from the opposite side of a roller of the tension device in its direction and to release a belt.
22. To tighten all bolts of fastening.
23. To take all adjusting devices, then to screw up a stopper in a control opening of an adjusting mandrel in the block of cylinders of the engine.
24. To establish a casing of the drive of system of gas distribution.
25. To establish and pull maple a generator drive belt.
26. To establish maple a belt of the drive of the pump of cooling liquid.
27. To connect to the block of cylinders of the engine a returnable oil pipeline from a turbocompressor.
28. To screw a forward exhaust pipe.
29. To screw a bracket of an exhaust pipe on a transmission cross-piece.
30. To establish new laying and to connect the pipeline of supply of oil to the pump and a turbocompressor.
31. To connect the vacuum pipeline screwed on the fuel pump to an inlet collector.
32. To check and in case of need to adjust a gap of valves.
33. To establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders together with laying.
Then to perform other operations in the sequence of the return in relation to process of removal of a head of the block of cylinders, paying attention on:
      – observance of the corresponding moments of tightening of bolts and nuts;
      – installation of new laying of a cover of the thermostat;
      – removal of air from fuel system;
      – filling of the cooling system and removal of air from it;
      – check of tightness of all connections.
