Since November, 1988 in the Ford Sierra cars with diesel engines instead of the mechanical five-speed transmission of N type the mechanical MT 75 five-speed transmission is installed.
The transmission is three-gross, a classical design has five synchronized transfers for advance (the 4th transfer – a straight line) and synchronized transfer of a backing. The box is installed along a car axis behind the engine. The lever of gear shifting is installed on a car floor.
Type: oil for Ford ESD M2C 186 A transmissions.
Frequency of service: check of level each 20 000 km or once a year; periodic replacement of oil is not provided.
