3.1.4.2.1.6. Cooling system

GENERAL INFORMATION

The closed contour of cooling with nonfreezing liquid contains the radiator, a broad tank, the pump of cooling liquid, the thermostat and the fan put in action by the electric motor which is switched on by the thermoswitch which is in a radiator.

Pump of cooling liquid

The centrifugal pump of cooling liquid is put in action by a gear belt of system of gas distribution.

Radiator

The radiator has tanks from artificial material and the tubular aluminum heat exchanger.

Broad tank

The broad tank is made of artificial material.

Filling by liquid of the cooling system is carried out through a jellied opening in a broad tank.

Pressure of opening of the valve of excessive pressure in a stopper of a broad tank: 120 kPa.

Thermostat

Thermostat wax. Temperature began opening: 85 ° –89 °C. Temperature of full opening: 100 °C.

Fan

The fan is put in action by the electric motor which is switched on by the thermoswitch which is in a radiator.

The cars equipped with the automatic transmission have two electric fans.

Fan thermoswitch

The thermoswitch of the fan is located on a radiator tank.

Inclusion temperature: 99 ° ±2 °C. Switching off temperature: 94 ° ±2 °C.

The cars equipped with the automatic transmission have a two-level thermoswitch in which each step operates one fan.

Inclusion temperature:

  – 1st step: 100 ° ±3 °C;
  – 2nd step: 110 ° ±3 °C.

Switching off temperature:

  – 1st step: 96 ° ±3 °C;
  – 2nd step: 106 ° ±3 °C.

Cooling liquid

Quantity: 9,5 dm3.

Type: mix of special nonfreezing SSM 97 B 9103 A liquid (40%) and the distilled water (60%) form protection to -30 °C.

Frequency of replacement: each 60 000 km of a run of the car or time in two years.
