3.1.4.3.1.7. Fuel system

GENERAL INFORMATION

In fuel system of the engine of 2,0 NANOSECONDS of DOHC 2V (N8A) the electric fuel pump and the Weber TLD carburetor is used, and in the engine of 2,0 NANOSECONDS of DOHC EFI (N9A) the system of injection Ford Motorcraft EFI integrated with system of ignition is applied and enters a control system of the EEC IV engine.

Fuel tank

The fuel tank made of a steel sheet is fixed by two steel collars before a back axis.

Capacity: 60 dm3.

Fuel type: ethylated gasoline with octane number 98 or unleaded with octane number not less than 95 (the engines adapted for work on unleaded gasoline).

Air filter

The air filter has the replaced paper element.

Brand and type: Motorcraft EFA 56.

FUEL PUMP


Carburetor engine

Fuel pump electric.

The engine with fuel injection

Shiberno roller fuel electric pump Ford.

The created pressure (at a voltage of 12 V and the closed fuel exit): 300 kPa.

Weber carburetor

The two-chamber consecutive Weber TLD carburetor has the butterfly valve of the 2nd camera operated by vacuum in an inlet collector, the accelerating pump, the enriching device in the 2nd camera and the starting air gate put in action automatically.

System of injection Ford Motorcraft EFI

The multipoint injection of fuel operated electronically, the Ford Motorcraft EFI joint with system of ignition entering a control system of the EEC IV engine is applied. Fuel with constant pressure is brought to nozzles. The electronic EEC IV actuation device doses a portion of the sprayed fuel and operates ignition, and also blocks supply of fuel in the engine during braking by the engine.
