3.1.4.3.1.3. Krivoshipno-shatunny mechanism

GENERAL INFORMATION

Bent shaft

The bent shaft is shaped together with counterbalances and leans on five radical bearings.

The axial gap is regulated by thickness of persistent half rings on average the radical bearing.

Diameters of radical necks
Nominal:
  – the sign is yellow
54,980 – 54,990 mm
  – the sign is red
54,990 – 55,000 mm
Reduced (a sign green)
54,730 – 54,750 mm
Radial gap in radical bearings
0,011 – 0,048 mm
Axial gap of a bent shaft
0,090 – 0,300 mm
Thickness of persistent half rings:
  – nominal
2,301 – 2,351 mm
  – repair (sign yellow)
2,491 – 2,541 mm
Diameter of conrod necks:
  – nominal
50,890 – 50,910 mm
  – reduced (a sign green)
50,640 – 50,660 mm

Radical inserts

The semi-inserts located in the block of cylinders have an opening and a flute for oil.

Internal diameter of inserts after installation in the block of cylinders:
  – nominal
55,001 – 55,038 mm
  – repair-0,05
54,951 – 54,988 mm
  – repair-0,25
54,751 – 54,788 mm
  – repair-0,50
54,501 – 54,538 mm
  – repair-0,75
54,251 – 54,288 mm

Rods

Rods are shaped from steel and have the double-T section of a rod and a straight line of the socket of the lower head. The opening serves in the lower head of a rod for dispersion of oil in the piston for its cooling and lubricant, and also for cooling of a piston finger and a head of a rod. Rods depending on weight are divided into four groups (And, B, C, D). Rods in the engine have to belong to one group.

Diameter of an opening of the lower head
53,890 – 53,910 mm
Diameter of an opening of a head
20,589 – 20,609 mm
Radial gap in conrod bearings
0,006 – 0,060 mm

Connecting rods

Internal diameter of inserts after installation in a rod:
  – nominal
50,916 – 50,950 mm
  – repair-0,025
50,891 – 50,925 mm
  – repair-0,25
50,666 – 50,700 mm
  – repair-0,50
50,416 – 50,450 mm
  – repair-0,75
50,166 – 50,200 mm
  – repair-1,00
49,916 – 49,950 mm
Axial gap of a rod (on cranked to a shaft)
0,090 – 0,310 mm

Pistons

Pistons are cast from light alloy, have a full shirt and the shifted axis of an opening of a piston finger.

Installation method: the arrow has to be at the bottom directed towards the drive of system of gas distribution.

Nominal diameters of pistons:
  – group 1
85,970 – 85,980 mm
  – group 2
85,980 – 85,990 mm
Repair diameters of pistons:
  – standard
85,980 – 86,000 mm
  – repair +0,15
86,130 – 86,150 mm
  – repair +0,50
86,470 – 86,490 mm
Piston gap in the cylinder:
  – nominal
0,020 – 0,040 mm
  – repair
0,010 – 0,040 mm

Piston rings

Each piston has three rings:

  – first (top) – sealing barrel-shaped;
  – second (average) – sealing conic;
  – third (lower) – oil scraper (from three parts with a spring expander).

Gap of the lock of the rings (placed in the cylinder):
  – the first sealing
0,30 – 0,60 mm
  – the second sealing
0,50 – 0,80 mm
  – oil scraper
0,40 – 1,50 mm

Piston fingers

The fingers made of steel are pressed in a head of a rod and rotate in piston naves.

Installation method: after heating of a rod to temperature of 260 ° –300 °C.

Length:
63,4 mm
Diameter:
  – designation in white color
20,622 – 20,625 mm
  – designation in red color
20,626 – 20,628 mm
  – designation in blue color
20,628 – 20,631 mm
