4.1.4.2.4. Check and adjustment of the automatic starting arrangement

GENERAL INFORMATION

The provision of elements of control of starting gates at adjustment of the automatic starting arrangement of the Weber carburetor

And – a drill, In – a plate

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To partially open a butterfly valve of mix and to turn a cam of the accelerated idling so that the adjusting screw concerned its top.

2. To release a pedal of an accelerator and to block a cam in this situation.

3. To close the starting gate until the emphasis of a cam rests against the adjusting screw of the accelerated idling.

4. Holding the starting gate in a closed position, to measure gap width between edge of a butterfly valve and a wall of an air chamber. For measurement to use a core or a drill of the corresponding diameter.

5. In case of the inappropriate size of a gap to adjust it, pressing a plate (In).

Adjustment of the increased speed of idling of the engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To connect a tachometer to the engine.

2. To warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature and to release an accelerator pedal.

3. At the working engine to hold the starting gate in vertical position (full opening) and to turn the lever of the starting arrangement to its delay the mechanism of the accelerated idling.

4. To measure the speed of the engine and in case of need to adjust it by turn of the adjusting screw of speed of the accelerated idling.
