Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. To remove the gear shifting lever handle.
3. To remove (depending on the version of equipment) the average console or the shelf about the gear shifting lever.
4. To remove an external casing of the lever of gear shifting after a detachment it from the holder, and also an internal casing with the holder after unscrewing of a frame of the holder from the floor tunnel.
5. To unscrew the gear shifting lever from a back part of a case of the transmission.
6. To prop up a coupling pedal.
7. In a compartment of the engine to remove forward left and right acoustic isolation.
8. To remove the top casing of a radiator.
9. To unscrew the top bolt of fastening of a starter and to disconnect a weight wire.
10. To prop up the engine a jack.
11. Under the car to remove the lower acoustic casing of the engine.
12. To disconnect a metal-rubber connector from a longitudinal beam.
13. To disconnect a forward reception pipe from a final collector, having unscrewed nuts of its fastening.
14. To disconnect the driveshaft from a flange of the leading gear wheel of the main transfer, holding hairpins with the Torx tool that they were not unscrewed from a flange of the main transfer when unscrewing nuts of fastening of a shaft, and also to disconnect the average bearing of the driveshaft from a body arm.
15. To disconnect the spherical hinge of the driveshaft from a flange of the transmission and to take the driveshaft.
16. To prop up the transmission by means of wooden whetstones.
17. To remove the holder of a suspension bracket of the transmission.
18. To lower the transmission.
19. To lower the engine. Its head of the block of cylinders should not contact to brake pipelines at the same time. In case of need it is possible to establish wooden whetstone between a head of the block of cylinders and a frontal partition.
20. To disconnect the external mechanism of gear shifting.
21. To disconnect a cable of a speedometer and a wire from the switch of fires of a backing.
22. To take a spring zashchedka and to disconnect a coupling cable from coupling switching off forks.
23. To remove the sheet partition of a case of coupling located between the block of cylinders of the engine and the transmission.
24. To unscrew the remained two bolts of fastening of a starter and to remove a starter.
25. To unscrew 3 bolts of fastening of a case of coupling to the block of cylinders of the engine.
26. To disconnect the transmission from the engine and to take it from below the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To delay coupling switching off forks back and to record them a wire in this situation.
2. To cover with a thin layer of special Ford lubricant (N 5021439) of a vent of a main shaft.
3. To attach the transmission to the block of cylinders of the engine (3 bolts).
4. To insert two bolts of fastening of a starter into openings.
5. To establish a sheet partition between the block of cylinders of the engine and a case of a box.
6. To tighten bolts of fastening of a sheet partition.
7. Then to perform operations in the return sequence in relation to process of removal of the transmission, paying attention on:
       – observance of the necessary moments of tightening of threaded connections;
       – filling of the transmission necessary amount of the corresponding oil;
       – check of tightness of the transmission.

Prevention

Before installation of the rubber elastic hinge of the driveshaft on a flange of the transmission it is necessary to check whether hairpins on a flange are correctly fixed. In case of detection that hairpins are turned, it is necessary to unscrew, clear them their carving, to apply on the site of the carving which is screwed in in a flange, two drops of the means protecting from unscrewing (for example, Loctite 270), to tighten these bolts in 5 minutes the moment of 80 Nanometers and to wait 30 minutes for preservative hardening.
