Control amount of deepening of hydrokinetic transfer
The automatic Ford C transmission 3 has three transfers for advance and transfer of a backing. During advance the lever of gear shifting can hold three positions: "D", "2" and "1". Besides, this lever can hold three more additional position designated: "P", "R" and "N".
Start of the engine is possible only at installation of the lever of gear shifting in provisions "P" or "N". The safety device makes impossible start of the engine if the lever of gear shifting is in any other situation.
Provisions are designated about the lever of the gear shifting located in a car floor. In situation "D" gear shifting happens automatically in all range. The automatic choice of transfer depends on the speed of the movement, however there is a possibility of switching of transfer by the driver on more the lowest pressing of a pedal of an accelerator against the stop (kick-down) in the provision of the maximum opening of a butterfly valve of the carburetor.
Identification
The metal plate containing identification these transmissions is located under a bolt of fastening of a back part of a case of the transmission to its forward part. Other same plate is located about the gear shifting mechanism.
