4.2.1.3. Lubrication system

GENERAL INFORMATION

Lubricant under pressure is provided by the gear oil pump put in action from a cam-shaft via the angular tooth gearing the Lubrication system has the replaced filter and the oil heater.

Oil pump

The gear oil pump rotating with cam-shaft speed.

Oil filter

The disposable, replaced filter.

Brand and type: Motorcraft EFL 164 or Purftux LS 127.

Frequency of replacement: each 7500 km of a run or time in six months.

Oil pressure sensor

It is located in the holder of an oil filter.

Pressure of fire of a control bulb: 0,08–0,10 MPas.

Motorony oil

Quantity: 5,6 dm3 (at the same time 0,6 dm3 – an oil filter).

Type: all-weather oil according to API SE/CD or SSMS of PD1, SAE 15W 40 or 20W 50.

Frequency of replacement: each 7500 km of a run or time in six months.

Cooling system

The closed cooling contour with the nonfreezing liquid circulating under pressure contains a radiator, a broad tank and the pump of cooling liquid.

Removal of air comes from system automatically after start of the engine.

Radiator

The radiator is made of light alloy with a cross stream has tanks from artificial material.

Type: Motorcraft.

Stopper of a broad tank

Type: Motorcraft.

Pressure of opening of the valve of excessive pressure: 85–110 kPa.

Pump of cooling liquid

The centrifugal pump of cooling liquid located on a forward wall of the block of cylinders is put in action by a maple belt.

The pump of cooling liquid is not under repair and in case of malfunction it needs to be replaced.

Diameter of a rotor: 60 mm.

Maple belt

Maple pump drive belt.

Brand and type: Kleber Venuflex XSR 13х1150.

Tension: a deflection – 13 mm under pressure of 30 N in the middle of distance between pulleys of the generator and pump of cooling liquid.

Thermostat

The wax thermostat is located in one case with the pump of cooling liquid.

Brand: Calorstat.

Temperature began opening: 72 °C.

Temperature of full opening: 81 °C.

Minimum valve stroke: 7,5 mm.

Fan

The fan is put in action by a maple belt by means of the electromagnetic coupling included by the thermal switch located in a radiator.

Number of blades: 8.

Outer diameter of blades: 360 mm.

Thermal switch of coupling of the fan

It is located in the right tank of a radiator.

Temperature:

  – inclusions: 82 °C;
  – switching off: 68 °C.

Cooling liquid

Quantity: 9,5 dm3.

Type: special nonfreezing Ford SQM97B9103A liquid.

Frequency of service: check of level each 7500 km of a run (does not demand periodic replacement of cooling liquid).
