4.2.2. Check and adjustment of gaps of valves

GENERAL INFORMATION

The gap of valves should be checked and, in case of need, to regulate on the cold engine after stay it in the switched-off state about four hours. It is recommended to perform these procedures each 20 000 km of a run of the car, however, at least, than time in two years.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. To remove the air filter.
3. To unscrew four nuts of fastening of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and to uncover.
4. To adjust a gap of valves in the sequence given in the table after turn of a bent shaft so that final the valve were one after another most open.

Prevention

The working gap of valves (measured on the cold engine) makes: 0,30 mm for the inlet valve and 0,35 mm for the final valve.


5. For adjustment of a gap of the valve it is necessary to weaken a lock-nut of the regulating bolt of the corresponding lever of the valve, holding with the screw-driver an adjusting bolt, and then to turn an adjusting bolt until the plate of the probe of the corresponding thickness densely enters between the end of the lever and a head of a core of the valve. In this situation it is necessary to tighten a lock-nut of an adjusting bolt, holding this bolt with the screw-driver.
6. To establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and the air filter.
7. To connect a weight wire to the accumulator.
