3.1.5.1.3. System of gas distribution

GENERAL INFORMATION

Provision of VMT of the piston of the 1st cylinder of the DOHC engine

The provision of adjusting signs on asterisks of the cam-shafts corresponding to VMT of the piston of the 1st cylinder of the DOHC engine is specified by shooters.

Hydraulic tension device of a driving chain of system of gas distribution of the DOHC engine

And – the piston is blocked (two provisions are possible),

In – the piston is partially blocked,

With – the piston is unblocked,

Driving chain of system of gas distribution

In the course of all operations demanding removal of a driving chain of cam-shafts before its repeated installation it is necessary to replace the hydraulic tension device of a chain surely.

The method of replacement of a chain is changed. It is necessary to arrive as follows.

Replacement of a driving chain of system of gas distribution

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. To disconnect an air damper together with the elastic pipeline of air supply, the valve of management of idling and the pipeline of ventilation of a case of the engine.
3. To disconnect the pipeline of ventilation of a case of the engine from a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
4. To disconnect the wire going from the ignition coil to the ignition distributor.
5. To uncover the distributor (two bolts with Torx nest).
6. To disconnect wires of high voltage, to take a rotor of the distributor and to remove a protective plate of the distributor of ignition.
7. To uncover a head of the block of cylinders.
8. To remove the top casing of a driving chain of system of gas distribution.
9. To turn a bent shaft so that to install the piston of the 1st cylinder in VMT (see rice. Provision of VMT of the piston of the 1st cylinder of the DOHC engine).
10. By means of a special key to block asterisks of cam-shafts and to unscrew fastening bolts with Torx nest.
11. To take the chain guide made of artificial material, after removal by tweezers of two blocking elements.
12. To take the ignition distributor drive.
13. To designate the provision of a chain concerning asterisks of both cam-shafts.
14. To remove asterisks from both cam-shafts and to slightly pull a chain on the left side.
15. To take a spring adjusting ring of an axis of the tension device.
16. By means of a bolt of M6 to take an axis of the tension device, at the same time moving the tension device for weakening of a tension of a chain down (see rice. Removal of an axis of the tension device of a cardan chain of system of gas distribution of the DOHC engine).
17. To remove the tension device.
18. To take a hydraulic pusher of the tension device.

Prevention

The pusher cannot be established repeatedly.


19. To establish a new hydraulic pusher. To check whether correctly it is blocked (see rice. Hydraulic tension device of a driving chain of system of gas distribution of the DOHC engine). If it is completely unblocked (the ring 1 is visible) or partially unblocked (all top part of the piston of a pusher is visible), then for blocking it is necessary to press the piston in the pusher cylinder (the top part of the piston is not visible or minimum acts from the cylinder). At the same time it is necessary to pay attention not to damage pistons of a hydraulic pusher.
20. To insert all knot into a head of the block of cylinders (the piston has to be directed up).
21. To install the tension device, an axis and a spring lock ring.
22. To put on a chain an asterisk of the left cam-shaft. To establish a shaft in the situation corresponding to position of the piston of the 1st cylinder in VMT and to screw up a hand a bolt of fastening of an asterisk.
23. To execute the same operations for the right cam-shaft and to install the ignition distributor drive.
24. To establish a new guide of a chain (from artificial material) and to fix it.
25. To slowly turn a bent shaft clockwise until the cam-shaft of inlet valves begins to rotate.
26. If the piston of a pusher acts from its cylinder, then it is necessary to press a hand the tension device for unblocking of a pusher.
27. If the upper edge of the piston is at height of the upper edge of its cylinder (is blocked), then for unblocking of the piston it is necessary to arrive as follows: to lift the screw-driver the tension device and to establish between the case and the piston, for example, a welding electrode. Then to take the screw-driver and to unblock the piston.
28. To block asterisks of cam-shafts and to tighten their bolts the moment of 56-62 Nanometers.
29. To execute several turns a bent shaft and to check adjustment of the tension device.
30. To check a condition of laying and to put on the top casing of a driving chain of system of gas distribution.
31. To perform other operations in the return sequence in relation to process of removal of a chain.
