9.2.2. Replacement of the shock-absorber

GENERAL INFORMATION

Back suspension bracket

1 – beam of a back axis,
2 – slanting lever,
3 – shock-absorber,
4 – suspension bracket spring,
5 – case of wheel bearings,
6 – conic bearings,
7 – sealing ring,
8 – metal-rubber plug of a beam,
9 – metal-rubber plug of the lever

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To unhook a luggage carrier covering fragment (a body of Berlin) or to incline forward a back of back sitting and to unscrew in front a luggage carrier bottom covering (a komba body), and also to remove a casing of the top fastening of the shock-absorber.
2. To lift and fix the car.
3. By means of the corresponding elevator to prop up the lever through a wooden lining.
4. To unscrew a bolt of the top fastening of the shock-absorber (in cars with a body of Berlin, on a photo) or to unscrew a nut of the top fastening of the shock-absorber, holding at the same time a shock-absorber rod with a key for internal hexagons (in cars with a komba body).
5. To unscrew a bolt of the lower fastening of the shock-absorber (in cars with a body of Berlin) or to unscrew a nut of the lower fastening of the shock-absorber (in cars with a komba body) and to take the shock-absorber down.
6. For installation of the shock-absorber to perform operations in the return sequence in relation to removal process.
