8.2. Removal and installation of steering transfer

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish a steering wheel in situation for the movement directly.
2. To unscrew a bolt of a tightening holder of a flange of the elastic hinge and to disconnect a shaft of a steering wheel from a driving gear wheel of steering transfer.
3. To lift the car and to remove forward wheels.
4. To take forelocks and to unscrew koronchaty nuts of spherical hinges of steering drafts.
5. To disconnect steering drafts from rotary fists of wheels by means of a stripper 13.006.
6. To unscrew two bolts (1) of fastening of the case of steering transfer to a cross-piece of a body and to take steering transfer (2 – adjusting laying of a pusher).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish a gear lath in situation for advance (a half of an angle of rotation of a gear lath of transfer necessary for movement of a lath from one extreme situation to another).
2. To connect a driving gear wheel of transfer to a flange of the elastic hinge of a shaft of a steering wheel, observing the correct installation of both connected elements.
3. To establish steering transfer on the appropriate place and to tighten two bolts of fastening of the case of steering transfer to a body cross-piece.
4. To fix spherical hinges of both steering thirsts for rotary fists of wheels.
5. To tighten all threaded connections the corresponding moments.
6. To establish both forward wheels and to lower the car.
7. To check and in case of need to adjust a disorder / convergence of wheels (see the corresponding description in subsection 9.1.1).
