6.1.5. Dismantling and assembly of the transmission of S type

GENERAL INFORMATION

Case of the mechanical transmission of S type

1 – forward part of a case,
2 – back part of a case,
3 – cover,
4 – the directing plug of the release bearing of coupling,
5 – laying of a cover

Gear wheels of the mechanical transmission of S type

1 – main shaft,
2 – secondary shaft,
3 – axis of the block of gear wheels of an intermediate shaft,
4 – gear wheel of continuous gearing of an intermediate shaft,
5 – axis of an intermediate gear wheel of the reverse gear,
6 – the synchronizer 3 - it – 4-oh transfers,
7 – synchronizer 1-oh-2-oh transfers,
8 – precision bearing,
9 – speedometer drive gear wheel
Numbers of transfers of separate gear wheels are provided in black circles (AR – the reverse gear)

Mechanism of gear shifting of the transmission of S type

1 – gear shifting lever,
2 – draft of management,
3 – fixing device ring,
4 – selector,

5 – forks 3 - it – 4-oh transfers,
6 – forks 1-oh-2-oh transfers,
7 – forks of the reverse gear

Dismantling of a secondary shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To take a lock ring from a nest in a back part of a case of the transmission.
2. To take completely secondary shaft (striking with the copper hammer).
3. To remove a lock ring of a nave of the synchronizer 3 - it – 4-oh transfers, to take a nave of the synchronizer and a gear wheel of the 3rd transfer (it is possible to use a universal stripper with two cheeks).
4. To take a lock ring and to remove a speedometer drive gear wheel, and also a latch ball from a secondary shaft.
5. To remove a lock ring, the precision bearing, and also a sealing ring from a secondary shaft; in the course of performance of this operation to rest a gear wheel of the 1st transfer to a steel support in the form of a letter U of the corresponding sizes.
6. To remove a lock ring of a nave of the synchronizer 1-oh-2-oh of transfers, and then to remove completely the synchronizer 1-oh-2-oh of transfers.
7. To remove two naves of the synchronizer, the sliding couplings, to take crackers and springs.
8. To lift the car.
9. Coupling guard.
10. The lower bolts of fastening of a case of coupling to the block of cylinders.

Assembly of a secondary shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To carefully clear all details and to check their technical condition, and before assembly to oil for transmissions.
2. In case of installation of new factory details it is necessary to cover their working surfaces, and also the interacting surfaces of a secondary shaft with special S-MIC-4505 A lubricant.
3. "To paste" by means of lubricant crackers of clamps to naves of synchronizers 1-oh-2-oh and 3 - it – 4-oh transfers. To insert the sliding couplings of synchronizers on naves and to establish according to their designations.
4. To insert on a secondary shaft a nave with the synchronizer plug 1-oh-2-oh of transfers, directing the plug pro-point intended for forks back. To establish a lock ring.
5. To insert a ring of the synchronizer and a gear wheel of the 1st transfer. To insert a sealing ring so that its bigger diameter was from a gear wheel.
6. To determine thickness of the necessary spring ring fixing on secondary to a shaft the bearing. For this purpose it is necessary to arrive in the same way, as well as in a case, for the transmission of A type (see subsection 6.1.4).
7. To install the ball bearing, and also a lock ring of necessary thickness on a secondary shaft.
8. To cover the surface of the ball bearing with universal lubricant for exact bearings.
9. To press the ball bearing into place on secondary to a shaft by means of the plug of the corresponding sizes or other corresponding universal tool.
10. To establish a gear wheel of the drive of a speedometer on a secondary shaft and to establish a secondary shaft so that deepening on a ball of a clamp was from above. To establish a clamp ball in a nest, it is correct to establish a speedometer drive gear wheel on a shaft and to record a lock ring.
11. To install on a secondary shaft the synchronizer 3 - it – 4-oh transfers by a ring thickening forward. To establish a lock ring.
12. To warm up a back part of a case of the transmission by immersion it in hot water and to establish in it a secondary shaft.
13. To insert a lock ring on the necessary place. This ring has to be in a nest in a back part of a case of the transmission.

Dismantling and assembly of main and intermediate shaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove a lock ring and the bearing from a main shaft.

Prevention

For simplification of the subsequent installation of the bearing to establish a lock ring of big diameter on its place.

2. To cover with universal lubricant precision bearings of a main shaft, to press the bearing and to take a lock ring of big diameter.
3. To take (inserted in the course of removal of an axis of an intermediate shaft) a core from an opening in the block of gear wheels of an intermediate shaft. To take 29 bearing needles and persistent washers from two parties of the block of gear wheels of an intermediate shaft.
4. Again to insert the taken core into an opening in the block of gear wheels. To fill from both of its parties with universal lubricant space between a core and an opening of the block of gear wheels of an intermediate shaft.
5. To establish one after another on both sides: remote plug, set of bearing needles and second remote plug.
6. To take by means of the screw-driver a sealing ring from an external ring of the bearing of a main shaft.
7. To cover an edge of a sealing ring with universal lubricant.
8. By means of the corresponding adaptation it is careful to press a new sealing ring into the bearing of a main shaft.
