1.4. Towage

GENERAL INFORMATION

Forward hook

The forward hook is on the right side under a front bumper.

Back hook

The back hook is on the right side under a rear bumper.

Prevention

In the towed car the ignition key should be installed in situation "II" (the steering wheel is unblocked and ignition is included). It will allow to rotate a steering wheel, and also to use indexes of turns, a sound signal and functioning of fires of braking.

The vacuum amplifier of brakes functions only at the working engine. Therefore in case of need braking of the towed car follows much stronger, than usually, to press a brake pedal, and the brake way can be respectively longer.

Towage of the car equipped with the automatic transmission

In the towed car the lever of gear shifting should be installed in situation "N".

It is not necessary to exceed the speed of 80 km/h, and the distance of towage should not exceed 20 km.

Prevention

In the car equipped with the automatic transmission, the engine cannot be started by pushing or towage of the car.

Trailer

After connection of the trailer to the car it is necessary to pay attention on:

– not excess of admissible mass of the trailer;
– not excess of a permissible load on a back axis of the car.
