10.3.2. Replacement of brake shoes

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Brake slips are pasted to brake shoes. The new synchronous block (lobby) has a slip a little more thickly, than an asynchronous block (back). The forward brake slip wears out quicker and both blocks reach boundary wear almost at the same time.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To weaken nuts of fastening of back wheels.
2. To lift and record a back part of the car, to remove a back wheel.
3. To remove the brake drum.
4. To remove the conductor of a front brake shoe (synchronous), pressurizing flat-nose pliers a cup to a spring of the conductor of a block and turning it on 90 ° at simultaneous keeping behind a core of the conductor, to remove a cup with a spring and to take a core of the conductor of a block.

5. To delay a front brake shoe from the bearing brake board, at the same time turning the top end of a block outside.
6. To unhook the top and lower returnable spring from a forward block.
7. To remove a front brake shoe (synchronous).
Berlin 1,3 and 1,6 dm3
8. To lift a front brake shoe from a support below, by means of the screw-driver rested against a support, to remove the end of a block from a support, to move it in the direction of a back block and to unhook the lower returnable spring.
9. To delay a forward block above from the cylinder and to move it about the cylinder in the direction of a back block not to damage a rubber casing of the cylinder.
10. To unhook the top returnable spring by means of passatizhy, inserted into the wheel nave flange opening established over the top returnable spring after the corresponding rotation of a flange of a nave.
11. To incline forward up the lower part of a front brake shoe to a detachment of the lever of adjustment of a gap from a latch.
12. To disconnect a front brake shoe from a press core.

13. To remove a cup, a spring and the conductor of a back brake shoe (asynchronous), similarly as well as the conductor of a forward block.
14. To remove a back brake shoe with the lever of the emergency brake and to unhook a cable of the emergency brake.
15. To disconnect the lever of automatic adjustment of a gap together with a spring from a back brake shoe (asynchronous).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To check and clear details and the bearing brake board (it is possible to wash out it alcohol).
2. To apply a little special Wolfracote lubricant on six elements of the bearing brake board.
3. To connect the lever of automatic adjustment of a gap together with a spring and a cable of the emergency brake to a back brake shoe (asynchronous).
4. To insert a back block (asynchronous), opiry its ends into the piston and a support in the lower part of the bearing brake board.
5. To establish the conductor of a back brake shoe (asynchronous).
Berlin 2,0 dm3 and komb
6. To hook on returnable springs (top and lower) for a front brake shoe (synchronous), holding a block perpendicularly to the bearing brake board.
7. To establish the lower end of a front brake shoe (synchronous) in a support in the bottom of the bearing brake board, and the top end of this block in a piston groove.
8. To press a forward block to the bearing brake board.
9. To establish the conductor of a front brake shoe (synchronous).
Berlin 1,3 and 1,6 dm3
10. To connect the lever of adjustment of a gap to a latch and to fasten the top returnable spring to a forward block (synchronous).
11. To press a latch down and to incline a front brake shoe up to disconnect the lever of adjustment of a gap.
12. To connect the lever of adjustment of a gap to a press core.
13. To incline a front brake shoe (synchronous) down and again to connect the lever of adjustment of a gap to a latch.
14. To establish a front brake shoe (synchronous) near a support in the lower part of the bearing brake board and to insert the lower returnable spring.
15. To pick up a front brake shoe (synchronous) the screw-driver and to establish it on a support.
16. To pull forward the top part of a forward block (synchronous) before its fixing by the adjusting lever.
17. To press a front brake shoe (synchronous) to the bearing brake board and to fix the end of a block in a piston groove after easing by the latch screw-driver before combination of an opening of the conductor in a block with an opening of the conductor in the bearing brake board.
18. To establish the conductor of a front brake shoe (synchronous).
All types
19. To install the mechanism of automatic adjustment of a gap of blocks so that to remove back brake shoes.
20. To install the brake drum.
21. To press a brake pedal several times in order that the mechanism of adjustment started working.
22. To establish back wheels and to put the clamps of fastening of wheels.

23. To lower the car and to tighten nuts of fastening of wheels the corresponding moment.
